Rachel Joy Baribeau is an award-winning storyteller, inspirational speaker, author, and the founder of Changing the Narrative. She is also a transformative coach, host of the Joystarters Podcast, and the first female SiriusXM ESPNU host on College Sports Nation. In 2016, Rachel wrote a piece for GridironNow, expressing her concern about the negative news stories dominating college football. Instead of just voicing her concerns, she took action and developed #ImChangingtheNarrative, a program designed to help student-athletes make better decisions and change their life narratives. Rachel’s message, which began as a call to purpose, passion, and platform, has evolved over four-plus years and 40 campuses to encompass mental health, daily personal excellence, and interpersonal relationships. This evolution was influenced by her personal experience as a victim of domestic violence. When she’s not speaking or on tour promoting her book, “Relentless Joy: Finding Freedom, Passion and Happiness (Even When You Have to Fight for It)”, Rachel works to help others find their own passion, purpose, platform, and freedom.
