All Of It - A podcast by WNYC

For years, the hip-hop group De La Soul's music from the years 1989 to 2001 had been kept off of streaming platforms. Classic albums such as 3 Feet High and Rising, Stakes Is High, and De La Soul Is Dead were mired in clearance and other legal issues related to the large amount of samples they used in their production. Last Friday, six De La Soul albums from this period finally became available to stream. Music journalist Marcus J. Moore is currently in the process of writing a biography about the group, and he joins to tell us more about the history of the group's founding in Long Island, listen to some tracks, and take your calls.
