Regency Romance and Revenge in 'Mr. Malcolm's List'
All Of It - A podcast by WNYC
The script for "Mr. Malcolm's List" sat on the Hollywood Black List before being picked up by director Emma Holly Jones, who developed the script into a short film before getting the green light for a feature. The film, set in Regency-era England, tells the story of a particularly picky eligible bachelor, and a woman who was scorned by him who becomes bent on revenge. We're joined by Jones, actor and executive producer Freida Pinto (who plays love interest Selina) and actor Zawe Ashton (who plays schemer Julia). "Mr. Malcolm's List" is playing now in theaters everywhere. *This segment was guest-hosted by Kerry Nolan*
