Hello and Happy Friday! Today's guest, Michela Giordano Castro, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), trauma-informed therapist, and spiritual coach who helps Millennial and Gen-Z women rebuild a meaningful spirituality after leaving Christianity. Raised in a conservative, fundamentalist Christian home and homeschooled, Michela spent her early years deeply devoted to her faith, aspiring to become a missionary and preacher's wife. However, at 18, her faith unraveled, leading her on a decade-long journey of questioning, grief, and eventually, reconnection to spirituality. Today, Michela combines her expertise in trauma and Internal Family Systems therapy with her own transformative experience to guide others in healing from religious trauma, navigating family dynamics, and discovering authentic spirituality beyond traditional doctrines. She is the creator of Unbound Faith, a group coaching program dedicated to empowering women to reconnect with themselves, build decision-making confidence, and embrace love over fear in their spiritual lives. Passionate about sharing her story and inspiring others, Michela is here to discuss her journey of deconstructing faith, overcoming self-hatred, and finding a vibrant spiritual path that prioritizes love, growth, and community.
