End of Watch Episode 14 "Chris From Marseille"

Team Malizia brings you “End of Watch” starring Rosalin Kuiper and guest starring Christopher Pratt recorded late on evening of 1st May 2023. WARNING: We must apologies for the sound quality in parts, we have done our best to clear it up but it isn't perfect for this episode. Happy listening anyway. Episode Fourteen - "Chris From Marseille" - is lead by Rosalin Kuiper from Leg 4 of The Ocean Race 2023 with guest appearance of Christopher Pratt. Rosie talks to the audience alone about what it is like to sail in this leg, to be so close to 11th Hour Racing Team. She also tells us what life is like without Boris on board but that Chris brings a great energy to the team.Rosie also brings the audience into her personal struggles in the past, dealing with headaches and how this race has allowed her to get rid of this issue and now to be at the top of her game. After explaining more technical aspects of navigation and touching on the fact that Nico's role is so incredible to her. Rosie is then joined in the podcast by Chris, our newest team member from Marseille. They talked about the difference in this boat and other IMOCAs and how great it is to reach top speeds on Malizia and that it doesn't feel out of control like some of the other IMOCAs in the fleet. Chris is very excited to be part of the team and they talk a lot about trying to win and the pros of the boat. Rosie also talks more about the new foils that have carried us nearly all the way round the world now. The duo then talk a lot about the design of the boat and how the average top speeds is better and more consistent than the other boats in the fleet.
