The movie Chocolat was an Oscar nominee for Best Picture in 2000. The story center around an iconoclastic chocolatier who shakes up the life of a small French town in 1960. After initially meeting with resistance, the confectioner (played by Juliette Binoche) eventually wins over the hearts and palates of the townspeople.
