99. Are you a Micromanager or a Leader?

<p>In today’s episode I address that fear many leaders have — being a micromanager. So many people tell me they don’t want to feel like they are micromanaging their team members or direct reports. Yeah, none of us enjoy that. And at the same time, it’s our job as leaders to know what‘s being worked on in our teams so that we can help set the direction, remove barriers, give praise, and help prioritize. So yes, we do need to ask our team members and direct reports what‘s on their plate, but I’ve figured out a way for them to proactively provide updates to me. I’m sharing one of my favorite templates with you and how I use it.
