Can You Forget about Yourself?
In Your Presence - A podcast by Eric Nicolai

John 5, 18: "I tell you most solemnly, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees the Father doing..." Jesus was not merely a wise teacher. He was intertwined with God the Father and sent by the Holy Spirit. He says these encouraging words: If you remain in my word, you will truly be my disciples, “and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (Jn 8, 31) To be set free implies that one is already in a prison in some way, or that one is constrained, limited. Am I constrained by my own selfishness? A meditation preached at Lyncroft Centre on March 30, 2022.
