Supply chains: Western companies consider reorienting from China

The pandemic has forced countries and companies to reassess the future of global supply chains. Western companies have begun to consider shifting production from China to other countries. There are several reasons for this - including the pandemic's highlighted dependence on China, demographics and other countries becoming investment targets, says Dean Cheng, the Heritage Foundation's expert on China. On top of that evergrowing issue is becoming human rights and treatment of Uyghur minority.
