On June 28, BTS’s Jin serenaded crowds at Goyang Stadium in Korea to herald the start of his “#RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR” concert tour, greeting fans in the form of a spin-off to his popular variety series “Run Jin” as he “runs” to meet ARMY around the globe. Snazzing up the crowd with his grand entrance through “Running Wild,” the title track to his first solo album “Happy,” Jin showcased that no stage is too big for him to fill, hyping up the crowd who jumped and sang along with him. Continuing with “I’ll Be There,” Jin started the countdown to kick off the show, performing “With the Clouds” and “Falling.” After warming up the crowd, Jin greeted audiences, giving a smouldering look that heated up the stage even more as he sent off his signature flying kiss. Greeting ARMY warmly, he shared, “I really wanted to do the kiss so much, and at interviews, I said I would wait to do it at the concert,” sharing one more special flying kiss for ARMY. Jin explained that the concert tour is the grand finale to his “Run Jin” show, expressing his excitement to also greet ARMY abroad through the tour. The concert featured missions reminiscent of “Run Jin,” but this time, Jin took on the various challenges together with the help of ARMY. The theme of “challenges” was further cemented as Jin taught the crowd the signature slogan of the fan concert, “Run—Jin!” After his performance of “Don’t Say You Love Me,” Jin introduced the first special mission he prepared for ARMY, sharing, “I’ve had so many guests on ‘Run Jin.’ So this time, I invited my favorite guest. Today’s special guest is—ARMY! You are all my favorite people.” With ARMY, Jin played a “Telepathy Game” in which he attempted to guess key words ARMY tried to express with just their bodies. The number of questions he got correct correlated to what outfit he would wear for his performance of “Super Tuna.” Following the interactive segment, Jin showcased raw and beautiful piano performances of “I will come to you” and “Abyss.” Getting honest, he shared, “I was so nervous, my legs were shaking.” Jin continued to run with the momentum, amping up the crowd with “Background” and “Another Level” while channeling his rock spirit as the crowd cheered his name. In another fun segment, Jin introduced the “Sing Along Game” in which he guessed the songs that ARMY sang, bringing in the familiar tray prop from “Run Jin” that would drop on his head as a penalty if he guessed wrong. Bursting into laughter and smiling fondly every time he figured out which song ARMY was singing, he only purposefully answered the final question wrong for the sake of ARMY’s entertainment. He added, “It’s really fun listening to your singing. It feels like I’ve become a fan of ARMY.” The segment smoothly segued into the next performance of “Loser,” which invited Yena onto the stage as a special guest artist, creating an explosive duet as the two rocked the stage with their charisma. Before leaving the stage, Yena shared, “I’m making a comeback in late July. Since there’s not much time left, please look forward to it.” She added, “I couldn’t have dreamed of performing in front of ARMY. It’s an honor.” The crowd jumped along to Jin’s exciting performance of “Rope it,” and Jin had the crowds singing along with his medley performance of BTS’s iconic hits such as “Dynamite,” “Butter,” “Mikrokosmos,” and “Spring Day.” He shared, “I was worried if I could sing this without the members, but I was able to thanks to ARMY.” Jin further mentioned, “j-hope is here,” and teased him by asking, “Do you want to sing a song?” j-hope revealed that RM and V were also present, but Jin told them, “I’ll let you off because you were just discharged from the military, but I performed a day after my discharge!” Running...
