157. HAZMAT Nation - Phil Ambrose

National Fire Radio Podcast Platform - A podcast by Jeremy Donch

Battalion Chief Phil Ambrose lives the California life. Working in the LA County area, his passion for the job is equally exhilarating as his lifestyle. His first job prior to the fire service was cleaning out hazardous materials from a nearby college. The appeal of the job at the time was because he could rollerblade to work and that was enough to set the framework for a career in HAZMAT. His early days of HAZMAT lead to many different opportunities when he began his fire service career. Phil furthered his commitment by lecturing about HAZMAT at conferences. His FDIC class, HAZMAT Hot Zone Rescues; The Gray Area, focuses on street smart decision making for everyday companies. Breaking down the abilities of front line companies will effect a better outcome than sitting back and waiting for direction. To help support this delivery of training, Phil created Hazsim, a company that offers simulated meters that reflect real world operations. This company has put this technology in the hands of firefighters all over the world. Phil continues to educate and believes in the mission of not over complicating the message of Hazardous Materials. -- For more information about Phil Ambrose, check out Hazmat Nation on social media and Hazsim.com.
