Steve Crothers, a Lieutenant with the Seattle, WA Fire Department, believes in the importance of process. Early on in his career, he wanted to learn how the two senior guys communicated and drove the Tractor Drawn Aerial (TDA) so well. It was near impossible for them to explain what they did in tandem because there was no language or process in place to actually explain it. This set Steve on the path of locking down a process and develop terminology and eventually a training class on operating the TDA. Fast forward, Steve expanded his love for the TDA and developed a training company in which they do everything TDA. Being such a unique apparatus, it is imperative to involve those who are overly familiar with the design and build of the truck, to operations and functionality. As the popularity of TDA's soars, so does Steve and his crew traveling across the country assisting in every step of the process. There's nothing cooler than rolling up on a tractor drawn aerial and Steve Crothers gets to do this everyday. His passion for learning outweighs his love of teaching. Constantly betting himself and the process, it's all he knows!! -- Check out www.tractordrawnaerial.com or visit their social media pages for everything TDA.
