Recently retiring as the senior man on Rescue 1 in Stamford, CT, Mike Dragonetti will miss the job. He has spent 28 years with the department in numerous positions during his career as well as being instrumental in writing programs to push the department forward. As his days in the firehouse end, his relentless schedule of traveling and instructing will keep him busier than ever. As the owner and operator of Dragon Rescue Management, his sought after Elevator and Escalator training courses take him to every corner of the country. By chance, his early days prior to the fire service took him down a path of the elevator trade in New York City. After time working this career, an opportunity opened up which allowed him to pursue his childhood dream of becoming a firefighter. His fond memories of the Brooklyn firehouse his father used to take him to cemented his ultimate career path as an adult. Soon after being hired by Stamford, CT, Mike realized the need for combining his two passions into one. He quickly became the go to guy for elevator training. Word spread and so did his relationships. Today, Mike is a renowned authority for emergency service training when dealing with elevators and esculators.
