137. "I'm Just a Volunteer..." - Brian Soller

Brian Soller is a 32 year volunteer firefighter who believes in one core principal. Whether career or volunteer, the public expects prompt and professional services and at no time should be sacrifice our abilities to deliver on these expectations because of who we are. The statement, "I'm just a volunteer" holds no credibility and there is no room for it in firefighting. Brian is so passionate about it that he decided to act. He created The Professional Brotherhood podcast and social media platform which focuses solely on the volunteer fire service. His passion for firefighting and protecting the sanctity of the volunteer services is evident in how hard he pushes to ensure we don't fall on our duties and obligations. "We cannot use volunteerism as a crutch and that it is not a free pass to meet the minimum standard." His belief in the long standing traditions of the volunteer fire service runs deep and he will steadfastly protect it at all costs.
