113. Just Don't Talk About It, Be About It - Matt Pronovost

A third generation volunteer firefighter is not an easy position to fill, especially in the same firehouse as the previous two generations. Matt Pronovost is a legacy which creates its' own challenges; constantly being compared to the previous family members while trying to forge his own path. Head down, work harder. Matt was able to find his own way and found his own reasons to love the fire service. Eleven years later, he finds himself serving as a Captain, a position in which he can influence the next generation. "It is our duty to teach the younger members not only training for the job, but the ways in which the culture was built." Taking the time to instill the values of the volunteer firehouse and the expectations of its' members allows for an understanding of what service truly is.
