Although what we as PMU artists do is a form of art and art is usually theraputic, we must never forget that at the end of the day we are running a business. And more often than not, the act of running a bussiness can swallow you whole. In this episode, @beautyabovemost shares the power of strong mindset and how to really tackle your career.  Tune in! Meet Veronica: My name is Veronica Perez. I’ve been in the beauty and cosmetic field for almost 20 years!! Most recently I have  absolutely fallen in love with the permanent makeup industry, all its potential growth and it's served as a creative outlet for me. I started in the industry truly as a side hustle and used it to fill my need for art and creativity. In 2020 I decided to quit my big girl job as a cosmetic dental assistant, for 12 years, to follow a feeling and truly give myself a shot at doing something bigger than me.  I never imagined opening a salon or business in my hometown of  Sandwich, IL  but here I stand over a year and a half later and still growing. I’ve also added time in Chicago by renting days from my now partner Mannat. Which brings us to the present! Mannat and I are excited to announce that we are collaborating in a new project which is called Haus of Beauty Chicago!!  With this new growth and location we hope to merge our businesses and knowledge to hold a space for other women. I love what I do but I know that I have something so special to give back. Our goal is to empower women with the tools and resources they will need so that they can also follow their dreams. We are working on developing a holistic program that would help our women from the inside out to be able to thrive in the best light and on their own businesses. Well, with us as their strength until they develop their own. Our basic idea is to offer mentorship opportunities and we will hold events with other women to educate us on entrepreneurship, financial literacy, marketing, inner peace and strength, resources for their particular industry and so much more.
