But Thelma was more than a pretty face. She was decades ahead of her time, calling out anyone who participated in casting couch antics and refusing to play into the dumb-blonde stereotype that still saturates films today. Unfortunately, she also got mixed up with the wrong people. From her years-long entanglement with a married man to her supposed ties to the mafia, there’s plenty of suspects in this still unsolved death.
